Never Give Out Financial Information
This includes bank account details, card numbers, and any other information that could be misused by a third party.
Meet in a Safe Public Place
When meeting a buyer or seller for the first time, choose a busy public location. Never go to a remote or unfamiliar location alone.
While Applying for a Job
Research the job and employer before you apply. Don't give out personal information before meeting the employer in person. Avoid going to remote locations for an interview.
Scams & Frauds
Fake Information Requests
MyAds will never send you messages requesting your personal or financial details. If you receive such a request claiming to be from us, do not click any links — delete it immediately.
Requests to Use Money Transfer Services
Services such as Western Union or MoneyGram are not meant for transactions between strangers and are frequently used in scams. Always use safe, traceable payment methods.
Advance Payment Scams
Be very cautious of sellers asking for a deposit or full payment before you have seen or received the item. Legitimate sellers will meet you in person for the exchange.
Too-Good-To-Be-True Prices
If an item is priced far below market value, it is likely a scam. Always verify the legitimacy of the seller before proceeding.
No Delivery Service from MyAds
MyAds does not offer any delivery or escrow service. Please report and avoid any seller claiming to use an official MyAds delivery option.

Report the ad immediately using the Report button on the ad detail page, then contact us. We also recommend contacting your local police department.

MyAds does not share user information publicly. However, we take safety seriously and will fully cooperate with law enforcement on requests involving fraud or criminal activity.
